Celebrating its 20th year, this accomplished chamber choir of around 25 singers continues to provide outstanding concerts drawn from the widest repertoire.
Kingfisher Chorale receives critical acclaim for its performances which are always in high demand. With insightful programming, the choir has a reputation for providing enlightening, stimulating and inspiring concerts, from serious historical retrospectives to its popular lighter programmes. It has given a number of world premieres, including the first performance of the Jazz trio version of Will Todd’s Mass in Blue.
The choir is equally at home with smaller scale works such as the Bach Motets, the masses of Byrd, Willaert and Palestrina as with larger works including the St John Passion, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Pärt’s Berliner Mass.
